About the role
Reporting into the Global Head of Marketing, this newly created role will play a crucial role in overseeing the creative process from ideation to execution. You will build and lead a team of designers, copywriters, visual creators, visual creators and external agencies to produce compelling visual and written content.
Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the execution of impactful and engaging visual & written content assets to support New Product launches, Brand & category campaigns across online and offline channels.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop creative briefs.
- Providing creative direction and strategic input throughout the design and content creation process.
- Ensuring that all visual and written content maintains brand consistency and effectively communicates the desired message.
- Driving the creative & content teams to become an enabler for eCommerce growth.
- Managing the execution of photography, videography and distribution to maximise engagement and ROI
- Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Graphic Design and Creative Content teams.
- Managing workload distribution, project timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget through available project management tools.
- Bringing together content creative, assets and written content into a single source of truth - Salsify.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including regional marketing, product development, and sales, to align creative efforts with overall business goals.
- Conducting regular reviews and critiques of design work and written content to ensure high standards of quality and creativity are maintained.
- Providing constructive feedback and guidance to team members to support their professional development and skill enhancement.
- 5+ years of experience in a management role overseeing graphic design and/or creative teams.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and written content across mediums and platforms.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Deep understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory and branding, with proficiency in design software and multimedia tools.
- Strong project management skills.
