The role
In this varied role as our Governance Officer, you will provide high level administrative and governance support to assist Councillors and City officers adhere to statutory processes, requisite standards and good governance principles. You will build the agenda papers for Council, Councillor and executive strategic meetings, manage the Councillor request process, coordinate formal Councillor engagement activities, and deliver various governance related projects.
About you
As the successful candidate will have highly developed administrative and organisational skills, together with excellent communication and customer service skills, high level judgement and the ability to work cooperatively, flexibly and positively in a sensitive and confidential environment. Experience working in a Council or corporate governance environment is desirable.
