As Governance Officer you’ll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, facilitating transparent decision-making processes and maintaining the highest standard of governance across our organisation. In this role, you will undertake duties such as: Providing a high-level customer service and administration Liaise with elected members as well as internal/external stakeholders Compile and distribute Council agendas, minutes and documentation Attend Council meetings (after hours required) for minute taking Liaise with staff for information to respond to enquiries from elected members and the public Maintain compliance with the Local Government Act 1995 Assist in preparation of Council elections
