Westernport Water's core functions are to provide drinking water, recycled water and wastewater services to properties and communities throughout our district.
We are one of 18 water corporations operating and reporting to the State Government of Victoria.
We are responsible for servicing 21,916 customers from 27 townships across an area covering 300 square kilometres, encompassing Millowl (Phillip Island) and mainland communities from The Gurdies to Archies Creek.
The region has one of the highest ratios of visitors to residents of any destination in Australia. During peak periods, there can be approximately 120 visitors to every resident.

About the role - Part Time (24 Hours per week), Ongoing
Governance Support Officer
The Governance Support Officer will provide specialised governance and administrative support to the Strategy, Performance & Governance team to ensure timely service delivery to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibility Areas
- The provision of specialised administration support including data entry, internal and external customer communications and reporting.
- Monitor the organisation's Policy and Strategy Register and renewal process including maintenance of policy and procedure documents.
- Creation and processing of department requisitions and receipting of invoices.
- Preparation of monthly Corporate Performance department reporting.
- Provide support to the Manager Strategy, Procurement & Governance as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma level qualifications in Business Administration or related field.
- Experience in policy formulation, risk or governance fields would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated high quality communication and customer service skills (internal/external).
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of corporate software including Microsoft Office products and Electronic Record Management Systems.

- Demonstrated experience in high level quality administration, specifically the maintenance of policy, procedure, risk and governance documents and programs.
- Demonstrated capability and experience in the use of technology in particular Microsoft applications for word processing, spreadsheets and data collation and entry.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability in working as part of a team; and
- Demonstrated capability in exercising sound judgement, initiative and maintenance of confidentiality in a government or business setting.
