We are seeking a suitable candidate to assist the Management Accountant with meeting objectives and targets for the Civil Infrastructure team which is responsible for a variety of accounting, administration and finance functions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accounting and financial expertise to key stakeholders across the business
- Provide support to the business with forecasting/budgeting requirements
- Ensure timely and effective reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Delivery of month end reporting to management
- Ability to process internal and external recharges, journals and invoices
- In consultation with various internal resources, review financial systems and processes and identify and implement identified improvements
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor of Business, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Understanding of key accounting concepts and strong business acumen
- Corporate system knowledge and exposure
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Able to demonstrate ability to build credibility and effective relationships across internal line managers and external suppliers and customers as required
- Commercially astute with a professional and positive attitude
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong MS Office suite skills particularly in MS Excel with previous exposure to any accounting system or ERP an advantage
- Highly desirable but not essential if you are studying towards or membership of the Certified Practicing Accountants Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and NZ or intentions to follow this pathway
- Current Tasmanian Drivers License or International Drivers License with permit to drive in Australia
