Your new role

Eligibility for this role requires completion or near completion of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. As a Graduate Accountant, you'll have the chance to launch your accounting career while working alongside experienced professionals. This role provides exposure to diverse aspects of accounting, such as financial reporting, taxation and auditing. You will have the chance to develop your skills, gain practical hands-on experience and contribute to delivering high-quality services. In this role you will:

• Preparation and reconciliation of accounting journals accurately and in a timely manner

• Completing month end balance sheet reconciliation to ensure postings are correct and follow up with outstanding items

• Monthly reconciliations, including preparation and lodgement

• Preparing tax reconciliations for review, as required by the relevant governing bodies

• Assist with end of month reporting

• Provide support and back up to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Provide supporting documentation for audits and tax

• Performing other duties as required to support all members of the finance team

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a candidate who is committed to advancing their Accounting career in a corporate setting and is adaptable to change, new procedures, and technologies. The perfect candidate will be keen on continuous development and meet the following criteria:

• Near completion or recent graduation from an Accounting or Business Degree.

• Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.

• Capability to work under supervision and uphold confidentiality.

• Prior experience with accounting and spreadsheet software.

• Attention to detail, proficient computer skills, and the capacity to rapidly acquire new skills and tasks.
