Graduate Lawyer

The reason for this role:

• To assist the Associate Counsel and generally the GWA Legal Team with research, drafting and other legal work.
• Ensure compliance with GWAs regulatory requirements.
• Building and maintaining key relationships with other business units.
• Conducting administrative matters including but not limited to management of the procurement. legal contract management system and external legal fee payment system.

What you will be doing?

• Supporting the Legal team
• Facilitate and work with internal stakeholders on the management of a recently rolled out procurement/legal contract system.
• Preparation of confidentiality agreements and contracts.
• Internal approvals and execution of documents.

What does your background look like?

• You must have a tertiary qualification in law. 
• A graduate Diploma of Legal Practice is an advantage.
• 0 – 1 years’ Legal experience in an office environment (e.g. paralegal).
• Experience working in renewable energy industry is a advantage but not a necessity. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly detail-oriented and organised in work. Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
• Ability to work to a deadline and achieve objectives.
• Mandarin speaking (preferred but not essential). 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities accordingly.
