The Role:

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the selected candidate will be expected to:

• Create innovative, accurate, and cost-efficient mechanical designs, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
• Develop engineering plans using PTC Creo CAD software and provide detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Optimize production processes and workflows through meticulous engineering detailing.
• Play an active role in machine equipment development—from installation and commissioning to training and integration.
• Support Mechanical Project Leads and collaborate with the manufacturing team to enhance designs.
• Maintain and expand drawing catalogues and product manuals.
• Engage in providing solutions for customized machinery requirements.
• Offer proactive technical support to our sales and service departments.
• Contribute to our continuous improvement culture and adhere to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
• Uphold safety standards in machine designs, following AS/NZS 4024.1-2014 guidelines.

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you must possess:

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• A genuine passion for innovative design and engineering excellence.
• Experience in drafting and design, with strong proficiency in CAD 3D design Software, especially PTC Creo, and CAD 2D AutoCAD Software.
• Effective interpersonal skills, with the capacity to tackle changing and challenging priorities.
• Proficiency in Windows-based administration applications.
• A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Australian residency, punctuality, reliability, motivation, organization, and own transport.
