Calidus Resources Limited are an ASX listed gold exploration and development company who operates the Warrawoona Gold Project located near Marble Bar in the East Pilbara district of Western Australia and has recently acquired the Nullagine Gold Project.
The Warrawoona Gold Project is expected to have a mine life of initially 8 years with significant potential to further resources within the region.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Graduate Metallurgist looking to take their next exciting step in their career. This role will prepare you with the skills and knowledge needed to grow in the field of metallurgy. Being guided by skilled leaders, you will be involved in the optimisation of metallurgical practices, operational control parameters and assisting your colleagues to achieve key outcomes. Working alongside the Processing Manager, you will learn essential skills about plant operations and understanding the role of a Metallurgist on a deeper level.

We are currently offering this role FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
Key responsibilities of this role includes:
- Working with your peers to ensure safety practices and policies are followed.
- Assisting the Processing Manager and Plant Metallurgist in undertaking responsibilities and ensuring jobs are completed with KPI’s in mind.
- Assist the Processing Plant team through effective monitoring of activities whilst maintaining statutory compliance.
- Alongside the Plant Metallurgist, take on advice from the Process Manger to implement processes and plant test trials to improve plant performance.
- Assist the plant manager in handling confidential information.
About you
You are a motivated self-starter, who is excited to embark on their Metallurgy journey with Calidus Resources. Ideally you will hold the following:
- Degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Current WA manual driver’s licence
- Ideal but not essential to have 6+ months experience working on processing plants with previous experience in gold processing operations.
- High level skills working with Microsoft Office, namely: Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
- Familiar Western Australia Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations
