Purpose of the role
This is an entry level opportunity available in our development team for a Graduate Software Developer. Working collaboratively with the Marketing Department you will analyse system requirements, produce specifications, build and maintain our websites and internal web-based systems.
What will your key responsibilities include?
As a member of the Website and Online Account opening team, you will be responsible for working with the wider team to deliver changes according to our evolving Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
You will:
- Plan simple code changes and produce specifications.
- Develop programs as per specifications.
- Design, code, integrate, test, and debug application software.
- Participate in and support organisation projects.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure all development meets the programming standards.
What are we looking for?
- You will have recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology or similar.
- You have a passion for software development.
- Experience in developing for simple projects and code releases.
- Understanding of React, Sitecore/ Optimizely, .Net API highly regarded.
- Familiar with agile project management methodology (Scrum) and ceremonies (retrospectives/showcases).
- You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- To complement your technical skills, you can confidently solve complex problems by finding appropriate solutions.
- You have good stakeholder management skills; and can work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and deliver on agreed outcomes and objectives.
