Sydney Duty Free ('SDF') is Australian duty-free retailer specialized in Australia’s health care and cosmetic products within the Australian tourism industry sector.
We are looking for a creative and skilled Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. The role involves designing a variety of digital and print media that effectively communicates our brand's message and supports our marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Carefully study design briefs to understand project requirements, schedule timelines, and define budget constraints.
- Conceptualize visuals based on brief specifications, creating compelling designs for digital and print media that seamlessly align with our brand identity.
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to the team for feedback.
- Develop illustrations, logos, and other design assets using both software and traditional hand-drawing techniques when appropriate.
- Select appropriate colors and layouts to enhance the visual impact of each graphic.
- Work closely with copywriters and the creative director to produce final designs that perfectly capture our messaging.
- Test graphics across various media to ensure optimal presentation.
- Become the guardian of our brand identity, maintaining consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure projects stay on track and our brand messaging shines through.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or significant relevant experience.
- Minimum two years of work experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in creating graphics and visual layouts.
- Experienced with graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
