The Role
We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our fast paced, professional, and dynamic marketing team to be responsible for the design and editing of print and digital marketing materials.
You will need to be flexible and versatile as well as being able to multi-task as you will be working with our existing Graphic Designers to support other members of the marketing and sales teams with their projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design and editing of videos and animated gifs;
- Creating digital graphics for social media, websites and eDMs;
- Supporting sales team with general advertising, POS and flyers requests;
- Designing product packaging in accordance with our guidelines;
- Conduct photo shoots for new products (asset library) as required;
- General graphics support as required for business and trade events.
About You
- Qualifications in Graphic Design or similar;
- Strong skills in (Mac platform), Adobe suite applications including: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro & After Effects;
- Proficient with using Microsoft Outlook and Teams for daily communication, calendar and online meetings;
- Ability to work independently via our job ticketing system and collaborate as part of a team;
- Ability to take direction and meet deadlines according to the required brief;
- Project management skills coupled with the ability to juggle workload and priorities;
- Reliable and efficient fast learner with attention to detail and creative flair.
This position would suit someone who is positive, can demonstrate previous graphic design experience, is able to work fast/under pressure and could work autonomously using their own initiative, yet happy to follow direction as required.
Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and knowledge of the power tool industry relevant to Makita would be advantageous.
