The Community Centres and Venues team are seeking to engage a Facility Administrator who is passionate about collaborating with community, and is skilled in administration, and facility management.
What you’ll be doing:
- To provide high level facility administration, ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the Greenvale Community Centre is undertaken and delivered.
- To provide high level customer service to members of the public and internal customers in a timely, professional, and effective manner in accordance with agreed performance standards and service expectations.
- Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day administration of the Greenvale Community Centre as per the Operational Manual and associated procedures.
- Ensure the facility is maintained and well presented to a high standard and any maintenance and cleaning issues are dealt with promptly through liaison with the appropriate department.
- Manage customer service requests, complaints, general enquiries, and transactions (where appropriate).
- Help promote and support the participation of a wide range of community and centre tenants in the facility and Council programs through collaborative approaches.
- Administer the centre’s booking system, including point of contact enquiries and administration of accounting processes.
- Assist the Community Centre Leader to deliver community events and activities within the facility.
- Work in collaboration with facility tenants, user groups and hirers to ensure WHS requirements, risk management, security and the emergency evacuation procedures and processors are undertaken and maintained.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:
- Demonstrated high level administrative/reception and customer service skills.
- Proven ability in developing and maintaining effective working relationships, which may occasionally be complex with internal and external stakeholders and staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Proven capacity in working with others in a productive, structured, co-operative, and integrated way.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives within set timeframes, set priorities, plan, and organise own work.
- Demonstrated ability to provide support and input to the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures, processes, and systems.
- Advanced computer skills including use of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), as well as email and internet applications.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage facility booking systems and associated processes e.g. Bookable or similar.
- Demonstrated relevant experience and skills in supporting community development work.
