Grounds / Maintenance Officer – Part Time, 25hrs
The Australian Trade Training College is a large private RTO with three Campuses located on the North and Southside of Brisbane and one Campus in Toowoomba.
Each Campus has a large technical training facility where VET in School students, Apprentices and trade program participants are trained in a replicated workplace environment.
As an RTO, we are in continuous growth and have an exciting opportunity for a part time Grounds / Maintenance Officer to join our team. The role will work across the three Campuses of Brendale, Banyo and Meadowbrook.

Reporting to the Campus Coordinator, this is a great chance to join a supportive team and work in a well-established organisation. This is a new role, come on board and make it your own!
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated practical skills and experience in different types of basic maintenance work such as plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry and landscaping
- Working knowledge of standard machinery and tools, including their uses and repair
- Knowledge of WHS with a focus on safety
- Friendly, energetic and a good verbal communicator who shows initiative.
- Basic computer skills
- Be resourceful, flexible, and self-motived to work independently
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work
- Hold a valid driver licence
As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Preventative maintenance and repairs as needed
- Work, Health and Safety – identify and respond to safety risks and hazards
- Patching walls and painting of facilities and amenities
- Pressure cleaning of driveways, car parking facilities and walkways
- Assist with room / facilities set up for events, graduations etc
- Equipment and Tool Inventories maintained
- Yard / Grounds maintenance including lawn mowing, whipper snipping, ensuring external building areas are presented to a high standard.
- Furniture / equipment relocation
- Cleaning of fleet vehicles as required
