HSW are on the lookout for a Group Beverage Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for championing the Beverage Programs at Howard Smith Wharves to ensure that we are driving revenue and continuously leading beverage culture in Brisbane. As the Group Beverage Manager, you will lead the bar teams by mentoring and training team members whilst also collaborating with the General Manager's on how to improve service.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Reporting to the HSW Group Operations Director, liaising with them to create venue specific beverage programs
• Delivery of budget in terms of beverage revenue and expenditure
• Leading new beverage recipes and concepts for a variety of activations
• Communicating and leading new beverage rollouts throughout the year
• Leading and mentoring bar staff in their development
• Designing and elevating cocktail programs in venues
• Creating and implementing a bartending sequence of service
• Have a good understanding of each venues branding and needs to be able to curate menus that meet each venue’s needs
• Being present with the teams during key operating time to support and guide teams.
• Work closely with the Cellar to monitor product and stock levels and ensure PAR levels are met

What we’re looking for:

• Solid track record within the bar and beverage scene with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Expert level knowledge of beverage and cocktail knowledge
• Engaging personal presence with outstanding verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Opportunistic and passionate approach to team members and clients alike.
• Positive and flexible attitude with an ability to respond to a range of work situations.
• Work collaboratively with others.
