Lead financial strategy for Global Technology, electrification, robotics, automation, and digitalisation

With a legacy of innovation spanning more than a century, our client is committed to shaping the future of sustainable energy and industry.As the Group Manager of Commercial Finance, the successful candidate will lead financial strategy development and operations within the commercial sector of the organisation. Reporting directly to the APAC CFO, this role will involve managing financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic guidance to support commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy Development: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the commercial objectives, focusing on revenue growth and profitability.
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead the FP&A function for the commercial sector, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making processes.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Oversee internal controls and compliance procedures to mitigate financial risks.
- Commercial Performance Management: Optimise financial performance within the commercial sector by analysing sales data, pricing strategies, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks associated with commercial activities. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and safeguard the financial health of the commercial sector.
- Commercial Finance Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the commercial sector, including sales teams, business development managers, and strategic partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and achieve common financial goals.
- Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership and direction to the Commercial Finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop finance professionals to build a high-performing and resilient team.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA, CFA, or similar professional certification strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in finance leadership roles within a commercial or business development function, preferably within a multinational corporation or complex organisation.
- Deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with a track record of driving financial performance and operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems in a dynamic business environment.
