Job description

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answering phone calls and take messages
  • Schedule patient appointments and follow up communication
  • Accurately entering patients’ data into medical software called Genie Solutions
  • Patient billing and process Medicare and Private Health claims
  • Emailing, scanning, faxing and filing
  • Requesting urgent investigation results for clinic
  • Ordering stock
  • Petty cash handling
  • Liaising with hospitals and other medical practices regarding referrals, results and correspondence
  • Maintaining practice and patients' privacy and confidentiality
  • Adhering to relevant health and safety standards
  • Other administrative tasks

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Genie Solutions preferred
  • Understanding of common medical terminology
  • Proficient computer literacy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise efficiently
  • Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility
  • Empathy and a drive to make a positive difference
