Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity in Sales & Group Reservations. You will be joining a dynamic team of sales, events and Group Reservations professionals who thrive in a fast paced environment, delivering significant group room nights and event revenue to our owners. This leadership role is pivotal to the success of the hotel.We are looking for a Group Reservations leader with experience and someone who can be client facing where required. You will lead a small team and drive accuracy, Marriott SOPs, and in turn, deliver exceptional guest experiences.You will also have responsibility to manage Group Accommodation Revenue, Deposit Management, Attrition, and Cancellation.The Group Reservations Manager will be required to ensure revenue is maximised through the professional and efficient organisation of all group blocks and reservations.This role requires the candidate to be organised, efficient, and enjoy building relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Liaises closely with all the relevant Sales, Revenue Management, Reservations and Front Office members on a daily basis to accurately manage the group blocks and report all information in a timely manner.
  • Handling and processing Group Reservations and telephone group enquiries.
  • Update reservations of new guests, ensuring that all address details, room rate, departure date, marketing statistics (source of business, company, and company number), codes and method of payment are precise and correct. To maintain guest history, update and ensure the latest information is retained in the record
  • Ensure group bookings are entered into the PMS following correct procedures, reflecting a true picture of the definite and tentative group business
  • Attend the weekly sales and operation meeting to synchronize the business held on Opera and the PMS, communicate relevant information to the operation teams in a timely manner
  • Ensure all group related documents and correspondence is up to date and also a signed contract for all definite business. Ensure all supporting documentation is kept in file for future queries
  • Assist management in training, scheduling, counseling, and motivating associates.

About you:
  • 2-3 Years of leadership experience of leading a team
  • Strong knowledge of OPERA, CITY experience is highly preferable
  • Permanent residency or unlimited working rights in Australia
  • Enthusiastic to escalate your career
  • Self-motivated, driven and energised in a fast-paced environment
  • Armed with smart solutions and a can-do attitude
  • Enjoy working in a busy team environment, but yet can work autonomously
