Sage Hotel James Street is looking for a Guest Services Agent to join the team. The hotel is built around the historic Queens Arms (QA), this 93-room hotel seamlessly combines the traditional façade with modern hotel interiors. Guests enjoy exploring the surrounding designer shops, bars and restaurants that make the iconic James Street precinct so unique. With 93 rooms, it is a digitally-savvy and locally connected hotel. Amidst the fashionable surroundings of James Street, the hotel is applauded for its locally sourced, decorations, and mini-bar amenities, celebrating the neighborhood.
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, as the GSA, you will provide guests with a seamless check-in experience that exceeds their expectations.
Position Requirements:
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and provide a seamless check-in/check-out experience.
- Escort guests to rooms and deliver bags as required.
- Answer all incoming calls promptly and complete any reservations.
- Ensure guest profiles are up-to-date and new preferences or detail changes are promptly updated in hotel PMS.
- Handle and resolve any guest concerns effectively with confidence and in a professional manner.
- Clean and maintain all public areas as required.
- Ability to work across a 7day rotating roster, including weekends and some public holidays.
- Be familiar with all hotel emergencies and fire procedures.

Skills and experience required:
- A heart melting smile, bubbly personality and excellent presentation skills
- Experience in Protel PMS will be advantageous.
- The committed to quality and focused on service.
- Be truly resilient and flexible, with the ability to multi-task.
- The ability to be calm and confident in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
