Experienced Pastry Chef WANTED

We are seeking an experienced pastry cook with previous experience in pastry for our new fast paced shop in Plot. The successful applicant must be committed to our pastry team on a daily basis.
You must also be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be responsible. You be willing to work in a team environment and autonomously.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 (plus superannuation)

The Roles 
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

• Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
• Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
• Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
• Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
• Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
• Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel
• Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards

The position Requires 
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success within a similar role or work environment.

• Have a right to work in Australia
• Previous experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role with references
• Must be fully available over a 7-day roster
• Be able to work under pressure
• Be a team player
• Highly organized and efficient
