FULL TIME HEAD BAKER
About the Role:
As Head Baker, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring you and your team execute a diverse range of artisan sourdough loaves. You oversee the baking processes from ingredient preparation to final product delivery, ensuring recipe adherence, quality standards, site equipment functionality and food safety regulations.
You will successfully lead, mentor, and motivate a team of bakers, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement by providing continual guidance, training and feedback.
Communication is crucial therefore you will work closely with the management team to continually improve efficiency, workflow and the operation.
About us:
We are a small-batch bakery that uses traditional techniques with an innovative spin to create delicious, baked goods. We are just as obsessed with coffee as we are with locally sourced produce and ingredients so we roast our coffee around the corner. We opened our first Falco on Smith Street back in 2019 and we have been serving our community ever since.
Falco Langridge Street is our second home which we opened in March 2023.
Falco Johnston Street, our third venue, opened in December 2023.
About you:
To be offered the role you would have previous experience as a Head Baker in a similar role in a multi-site, artisan bakery. You have strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredient functionality, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
You have exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a small, diverse team. You have a positive attitude and work well under pressure taking accountability and responsibility in all that you do.
Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
