The RoleAs the Head Chef you will be responsible for the food & dining experience, overseeing smooth kitchen operation. You will construct the menu and be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective food service balanced with utilizing high quality, local produce. You will be responsible for managing, rostering and training kitchen staff.
Duties- Ensure the kitchen complies with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Control and direct food preparation
- Lead, mentor and train a kitchen Team to success
- Build strong relationships with local suppliers and all other stakeholders
- Manage all kitchen financials; rostering, ordering, menu design and costings
- Proven experience managing a kitchen as a Head Chef
- Attention to detail and ability to achieve highest standards of food quality
- A passion for food and a creative flair
- Strong experience leading and mentoring a team
- Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labour costs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Current open drivers license
