As a Chef you will be a key part of our Catering team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing our reputation as market leaders in our sector. Your two key benchmarks are quality & safety.
- Permanent - Full Time / 38 hours per week
- Located at Green Hills Residential Care in East Maitland
- Salary packaging available
- On-site parking
- Managing and working closely with other Chefs and catering assistants
- Overseeing the food preparation, cooking and cleaning processes
- Delegating tasks and resolving issues as they arise
- Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality & ensuring all dietary concerns are accommodated;
- Appropriate receipt, storage and stock rotation of catering supplies;
- Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and maintained
- Ensuring that services are provided are in accordance with the Fresh Hope Venues Food Safety Program;
- Diploma or Cert III in Commercial Cookery
- Experience in cooking for people with special dietary needs within a commercial setting will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Food Safety Standards;
- Have or are willing to get your National Criminal History Check
