The Shaws Bay Hotel, fondly known as ‘The Shawsy’, is a multi-faceted venue that looks to to set the benchmark for quality pub food in a casual environment. With an enviable location directly on the beautiful waters of Shaws Bay, we have a busy, well staffed kitchen in need of a Leader.
About the role
We require a strong Head Chef with exceptional communication skills and experience in a high volume Pub environment. This is a Short Term Placement of up to 3 months, which may suit a well qualified Chef on working holiday, or in between Snow Seasons, for example. This is a hands on role and you will need to be able to hit the ground running.
- Have a passion for premium quality food, produce and service
- Support and inspire your co-workers to ensure they are a highly skilled, well organised and motivated team
- Ability to work in a busy & fast paced kitchen
- Well-presented & maintaining the highest of standards at all times

- Knowledge of Cooking the Books an advantage

Skills and experience
- Head Chef - Minimum 2 years experience
- Sound knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Food Safety Supervisor Certified
- Able to work nights & weekends
- Right to work in Australia
- Full Availability
