Reporting to the Manager Property & Assets, the Head of Asset Management will manage and coordinate the full life cycle of councils Asset Management activities including condition assessments, asset register management, strategic planning and fixed asset financial reporting. This critical role will advance the maturity of the organisation’s Asset Management to best practice in accordance with industry standards and Council policies and priorities to ensure Council’s Asset Management function meets all legislative requirements.
A key priority will include ensuring the organisation has and suitably deploys the specialist Asset Management and property expertise required to support deliver of its strategic priorities and projects. Leading with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice, this role will be dedicated to fostering a clear focus on building partnerships both within and outside the organisation to provide technical subject matter expertise whilst contributing to the organisation’s culture and values to realise the Council's long-term goals and objectives.
