About the Role
Head of Department - Physical Education leads the school's sporting program, comprising of interschool, district and representative sport and carnivals. This leader will support individual athlete development and representative pathways with Queensland Representative School Sport (QRSS) and School Sport Australia (SSA).
Responsibilities within this role include, but are not limited to:
- Leadership of sport through the shared strategic development of a student- focussed vision, facilitated by specialist teachers.
- Development of productive relationships with sponsors, industry and agencies.
- Initiation of innovative opportunities for enhanced student performance and pathways.
- Leadership of school carnivals, interschool representative sport.
- Individual athlete development.
- Leadership of Netball and Rugby League Coordinators.
