The Head of Digital Marketing will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing digital marketing strategies for the agency's clients. You will be responsible for leading a team of Digital marketing professionals, driving growth, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital marketing campaigns.
This is a Senior leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of the performance marketing landscape, and a passion for driving exceptional results.
The Role has 3 aspects to it.
1. Product & Tech
- Continuously assess emerging technologies and tactics to recommend innovative strategies that drive competitive advantage for our clients.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of performance marketing campaigns (SEM, Display, Social, Programmatic, etc)
- Implement robust tracking and monitoring systems to measure the effectiveness of campaigns accurately. Ensure compliance with industry standards & Data privacy requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Understand clients' business goals, anticipate their needs & provide strategic recommendations to achieve their digital marketing objectives.
- Regularly communicate progress, performance, and campaign insights.
- Manage budgets for clients to ensure optimal allocation of resources across various channels & campaigns.
- Collaborate with External vendors, platforms & partners to leverage their expertise, tools & resources. Evaluate & Negotiate contracts with relevant service providers.
- Lead and manage a team of performance marketing specialists, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure their development.
- Work closely with the creative, production and media planning teams to ensure the seamless execution of integrated digital marketing campaigns.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team and evaluate their performance regularly.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive marketing strategies and optimize campaigns. Experience in using analytics tools and platforms to track key performance indicators (KPIs), measure campaign effectiveness, and generate actionable insights.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of Digital marketing professionals. You should have experience in setting performance goals, providing guidance and feedback, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
- Client Relationship Management: Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. You should have excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey marketing strategies, campaign performance, and recommendations to clients.
- Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset to develop comprehensive performance marketing strategies aligned with business objectives. You should have the ability to identify new opportunities, evaluate market trends, and adapt strategies accordingly to stay aHead of the competition.
- Results-Driven Approach: A track record of delivering measurable results and achieving key performance goals. Be prepared to showcase your past successes and provide examples of how you have driven growth and improved performance for previous clients or employers.
- Budget Management: Experience in managing marketing budgets and allocating resources effectively. You should be able to optimize spend, maximize return on investment (ROI), and justify budget allocation based on data and performance metrics.
- Relevant Experience: Prior experience in performance marketing roles, preferably in an agency environment, can be a significant advantage. It showcases your ability to handle multiple clients, manage campaigns across various industries, and navigate the unique challenges of agency work.
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a passion for learning and self-improvement. The digital marketing landscape is ever-evolving, so it's crucial to stay curious and adapt to new strategies, tools, and techniques.
