Rate Money was founded by three friendly home loan industry ‘rebels’ who identified flaws in the system for Self-Employed Australians. With their combined 50+ years’ experience and expertise, the Rate Money founders decided to go out on their own and ‘right the wrongs’ for the Self-Employed. Developing innovative ways to help those ‘having a go’ in business – finally get a ‘fair go’ with their home loans.
We believe that the Self-Employed are the backbone of our economy and those brave enough to ‘have a go’ in business – deserve a much fairer go with their home loans.
We created Rate Money, a place where the Self-Employed will always be welcomed with open doors and open arms. Where you’ll be greeted with a ‘YES’ rather than a big bank ‘NO’ when discussing your property dreams.

Our Growth
Since 2019, we’ve helped over 8000 Australian’s secure properties amounting to over $7BN in new home loans. We have 32 franchises currently across NSW and VIC but are aiming to add many more and extend our geographical footprint.
We are looking to fuel our growth and take Rate Money to the next level by increasing our investment in marketing to help 10x our business and become synonymous with Home Loans for the Self Employed in Australia.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic marketing professional to drive the execution of our strategic vision, go-to-market strategy development and support our revenue growth targets for each of our business channels:
- B2B - referral partnerships such as accountants, other brokers, estate agents etc
- B2C – brand awareness and lead generation for our Franchise offices
- LAM – supporting our Franchise network with local area marketing
- B2F- generation of new franchisee opportunities to enable the growth of our branch network across Australia
Reporting directly to the CEO, Ryan Gair, our new Head of Marketing will play an integral role in supporting a significant ‘step change’ in our growth and ensuring marketing is an ROI positive engine for the business.

- Offshore Design House
- PR & Comms agency
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive brand awareness
- Develop and support go-to-market strategies for all channels and new products
- Develop and scale our B2C Lead engine to achieve our long-term goals at the right volume, conversion and CPA
- Create an incremental B2B revenue stream from new highly engaged referrers
- Generate B2F leads in the desired geographic areas
- Develop and maintain a strong Local Area Marketing program
- Develop lead nurture strategies for all channels
- Build out robust reporting and ROI tracking for all activity
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including reporting to our Board
Experience & Knowledge
Must have
- 6+ years’ experience as a “generalist” - marketing skills across digital, brand, social, agency management, CRM and PR and B2B
- 3 years + - management Experience, budget planning, forecasting, business casing etc
- Scale up - business experience and be prepared to roll up their sleeves.
- KPI responsibility – objectives driven with a track record of managing and delivery of ROI
- Strong strategic planning - skills to identify what is important and executing with laser focus
- Strong collaborator - motivated by working in team environments
- Communication skills - excellent in verbal and written communication
- Outstanding leader - strong stakeholder management skills
Preferred
- Mortgage industry experience will be highly regarded
- Previous Franchise marketing experience desirable
Office location: North Sydney, Miller Street
Travel requirements: Light. Some interstate travel from time-to-time will be required
Working set up: In office 4 days a week, 1-day WFH per week on set days
