An absorbing, life changing role that is greater than its parts …
This Australian-owned family company has been in business for nearly 30 years, providing a range of community services across Disability, Youth and Employment. Working concurrently in various regions in Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
The NDIS business currently provides services across SIL, Community Access, Support Coordination and Plan Management to meet the needs of their participants.
Their growth has brought solace, recognition, and reward, it’s also a means to success that has created its own issues of duplication and complexity. So, what is needed now is an experienced architect of community services (and culture), a professional who can conduct a comprehensive review and assessment at every tier. This expert will refine and harmonise their operational policies and practices, ensuring they align with the NDIS’s commitment to providing participant-centred support and fostering a high-performing agency environment.
The initial focus will be on realising efficiencies and sustainability through consolidating services, developing new frameworks, reviewing policies and procedures, updating reporting mechanisms and gently shifting the balance of the company culture.
So, over and above your professional expertise in operations management, you will also need the empathy and soft skills to usher the workforce through this new chapter of their evolution. With your support, encouragement and transparent communication the business will have the opportunity to reshape its methodologies and culture bringing the talent and knowledge owned by its teams with you on the journey.
This new role will suit a contemporary, dynamic Ops Manager with vision and a big heart …
With a post grad qualification in Business, Health Administration, Disability Services - or other relevant discipline – plus considerable senior experience managing change in a complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-site environment, you will already have a fair understanding of what this job involves.
That experience, plus your solid understanding of NDIS and the delivery of Disability Services, the implementation of fit-for-purpose quality management, contemporary compliance and reporting systems and a focus on continual improvement will outfit you admirably for this engrossing role.
If you’re also confident you can provide valuable collaborative input across performance, compliance, governance, risk, legislation and strategic objectives that ensure business continues smoothly and effectively, then we can’t wait to hear from you.
