About your new Role

As the Head of Sales for CUPRA you will report into the Director of CUPRA to deliver the Sales volume, turnover and profitability objectives and market share for the brand. This position takes leadership responsibility right across sales, volume planning, direct customers and our agent sales team.  Our customers, our Australian network of agents and our CUPRA HQ in Barcelona are your key stakeholders.  

You’ll be provided with great exposure to headquarters and retailers, participating in a fast paced ‘start-up’ style environment inside the large world of Volkswagen Group Australia.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Set the strategy and plan sales volumes for short and long term along with product allocations
  • Monitor agents performance and improve processes for premium retail customer experience
  • Continually monitor market conditions and exploit all sales opportunities as well as identify new sales channels and mobility concepts
  • Manage financial performance for new cars business and the agent network
  • Optimise and maintain the fleet business and direct sales for CUPRA, working with the VGA fleet team. 
  • Implement and localise all strategic global brand initiative’s in conjunction with other CUPRA departments and VGA group departments where applicable
  • Lead manage and support team development and provide guidance and direction for staff and network
  • Continually monitor market conditions and exploit all sales opportunities as well as identify new sales channels and mobility concepts

About you To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Tertiary level Education within Business, Sales, Marketing or similar along with work experience within the Sales environment
  • Extensive market and technical experience along with retail experience within the automotive market landscape preferred
  • Strong practical problem solving, negotiation and communication skills across varying audiences
  • Proven management experience and ability to lead a team, while still taking a heavily active role
  • Ability to provide guidance and advice to networks and clear directives to achieve goals from CUPRA HQ
  • Excellent attention to detail as well as time management
