PKKP Aboriginal Corporation administers the traditional lands and waters on behalf of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura people.
These lands and waters cover approximately 10,888 square kilometres of Western Australia’s Pilbara region, between Onslow and Tom Price. The PKKP AC delivers a range of programs and services to support the social and economic well-being of PKKP Members.

The Member Service Office and team provides a welcoming space and a central point of contact for the community to liaise with, should they need anything from their corporation. At PKKP AC, we focus on real engagement with members, to ensure we have a holistic understanding of them, their family, and the community they live within. The insights gained from each moment shared with our members, helps us improve and focus the current and future service delivery of the MSU team in favour of member-informed and empowered services and programs that will better serve their needs, aspirations, families, and community outcomes.
About the role
Guided by the Members Services Unit Manager, the Member Services Heath Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the effective administration and delivery of full spectrum of member health and wellbeing programs within PKKP Aboriginal Corporation.
This position requires a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is committed to contributing to the growth and success of our PKKP People and community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Member Services Support:
• Meet and greet members and stakeholders in relation to health and wellbeing activities.
• Raise awareness around health and wellbeing.
• Coordination and delivery of member services for the health and wellbeing functions, ensuring a high level of member satisfaction.
• Respond to member inquiries, providing accurate information and guidance.
• Maintain up-to-date member records and databases.
• Understand and assist with Trust applications and monitor and manage the info email distribution.
• Assist to support MSU Management as required.
2. Program Administration:
• Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community health programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of programs.
• Prepare and maintain program documentation, reports, and related health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Assist and support the MSU Management as required.
3. Community Engagement and communication:
• Facilitate communication between the Corporation and its members, ensuring transparency and inclusivity. i.e. Manage MSU health and wellbeing communication content creation and channels.
• Organise MSU health and wellbeing community events, workshops, and meetings.
• Assist with cross team communication, ensuring the appropriate information and communication is shared with whole team as needed.
• Assist other Program Officers and units as appropriate and as required.
4. Compliance and Reporting:
• Assist to develop MSU compliance and system policies and procedures related to health & wellbeing initiatives.
• Assist MSU to remain compliant with relevant policies, regulations, and funding requirements.
• Assist with the preparation and coordinator of regular reports on member services and program health & wellbeing activities for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and organised records of all member health & wellbeing services and program-related activities.
• Supporting and coordinating logistics for MSU run events.
• Supporting outreach services, including accompanying officers, transporting members etc.
• Assist in maintain the Members Services Unit Office to a high standard to ensure it is always presentable, organized, clean and remains compliant with WHS regulations.
• Learn more about other MSU officer roles to ensure that the team can be supported from time to time during long periods of leave or absence.
• Other duties as requested by Director, Programs.
Travel Requirements
This position is based in Karratha, and you will be required to undertake extensive travel, overnight stays in remote communities within the Pilbara area.
