We're on the search for a Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join our dynamic team in a full time capacity.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Manage and implement IMS/HSEQ/ISO for Nicheliving Group
- Audit and inspections of OHS&E on all sites within Nicheliving Group
- Carry out and provide technical advice in regards to OHS&E
- Establishment, implementation and maintenance of OHS&E initiatives
- Adherence to all IMS standards requirements
- JSA,JHA analysis
- Identify and mitigate workplace hazards and risks
- Manage and Maintain Document Control in regards to OHS&E issues
- Assistance in the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of Nicheliving Groups Integrated Management System
- Develop, implement, review and maintain OHS&E Programs, Policies and Procedures and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practice
- Coordinate and liaise with the OHS&E and Risk Management Committees.
- Provide training and guidance to staff in the implementation OHS&E management systems
- Keep up to date with changes to the legislation, standards and codes of practice that will impact on OHS&E and communicate to all staff
- Assist in Planning, organising, implementation and maintenance of OHS&E initiatives across the organisation
- Liaise with department managers and site managers
- Assist, support and guide staff participating in Compliance audits
- Assist staff involved in OHS inspection and audit of Contractor activities
- Assist in the undertaking of investigations following accidents or occurrences to determine likely causes and corrective actions
- Any other duties as directed
Skills and experience
- Certificate IV WHS or higher qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of communication skills both oral and written
- Passionate about building and construction industry
- A positive and self-motivated attitude
- Proficient with Microsoft office
