Mack Civil is a leading construction company based in Sydney, committed to delivering high-quality projects while prioritising the safety and well-being of our team members. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Health & Safety Coordinator.
The Health & Safety Coordinator will play a critical role in providing expert advice, support, and direction to our project delivery teams on all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits across multiple project sites, ensuring compliance with management systems, safe work procedures, and preventative measures.
- Facilitate site safety walks, collaborating closely with clients or management to ensure prompt resolution of corrective actions.
- Provide timely and expert HSE support, advice, and assistance to project and workshop personnel.
- Lead incident investigations and provide support during the process.
- Facilitate pre-start meetings and toolbox talks, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
- Assist Engineers in preparing safety-related documentation.
- Respond promptly to client-raised issues, fostering positive relationships with clients.
- Attend client-related safety meetings as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Actively participate in the onboarding, probationary review, and annual performance review processes.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Relevant qualifications in health and safety or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Construction Induction Training ('White Card').
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate as a team player.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience with TfNSW projects, Civil infrastructure, streetscaping and / or utilities experience is an advantage.
