THE OPPORTUNITY

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a talented and experienced Category Manager to join the Nestle Health Science team. This is a newly created role that offers the successful candidate the chance to make a significant impact and shape the future of our Category and Channel agenda within the Hospital, Long Term Care and Community Healthcare channels.

As a leader in specialised nutrition solutions that enhance consumer health and wellbeing, Nestlé Health Science is at the forefront of innovation in the healthcare industry. As the Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing the Category and Channel agenda within the Institutional channel, with the aim of delivering long-term Category growth and increasing market share profitably.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF...

Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role will lead the channel strategy across all brands, utilizing channel, competitor, and customer insights. Key Responsibilities include;

  • Identify priority channels for the category and develop tailored channel category plans
  • Identify pricing and trade spend efficiencies to ensure profitable growth
  • Deliver insights and make recommendations on innovation, sku mix and range rationalisation
  • Drive the annual commercial plans and ensure plans are aligned to the market business strategy and delivers on identified channel, category and customer opportunities
  • Recommend annual targets and monitor forecast alignment for the success of the annual commercial activity plan through the monthly business planning process
  • Recommend & coordinate responses to customer and competitive activity & threats
  • Establish clear pricing and promotional guidelines by channel and customer, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our trade investments.
  • Provide objectives, sales execution targets and high-level forecasts for all new product development and key commercial activity.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

You will achieve success through applying your commercial acumen in understanding and maximising shopper insights in the development of category strategies for execution in our customers' stores.

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, preferably in healthcare category, sales, marketing, or business development roles.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering on KPIs and executing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse sales trends
  • IQIVIA data experience would be ideal
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry, including knowledge of hospitals, long-term care facilities, and distributors.
  • Natural collaborator with a strong proactive mind-set and be able to influence those around you to drive your Category growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in utilising data insights, market intelligence, and category/channel/patient trends to drive actionable ideas.
