About the role
We are currently seeking Disability Support Workers to support our client who has a Brain Injury & is Ventilator dependant. Our client requires experienced staff to manage the client's tracheostomy, ventilator, suctioning & PEG/medication administration as well as monitoring of the oximeter, as well as all ADL duties, manual handling & day to day house tasks. The role will have an AM, PM, active ND & sleep over shifts daily. This role involves both personal & emotional support so if you have a positive mind set, are intuitive & client focused, this role is for you. ASAP start.
Duties
- Tracheostomy & ventilator management
- PEG feeding & medication administration
- ADL's
- Manual Handling
- Complex bowel care assistance
- Domestic assistance
Skills and experience
- Disability and Support work
- Tracheostomy & ventilator management
- Manual handling
- TBI/ABI experience is desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual support (Disability/Ageing) or someone with Disability/Support work history
