About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team on a flexible part-time basis (20-24 hours per week). As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our operating theatres, surgical, medical, and rehabilitation services. Your primary focus will be on establishing and nurturing relationships with surgeons, Visiting Medical Officers, and other acute care hospitals to expand our referral network and enhance community engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our hospitals while making a positive impact on the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse market trends and develop growth strategies to expand the hospital's surgical services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate contracts and implement initiatives aimed at driving surgical program development and achieving revenue targets.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Specialists and General Practitioners (GPs) to increase referral sources.
- Travel between various facilities and referral bases to facilitate networking and collaboration.
- Create and assist with marketing resources to promote hospital services effectively.
- Demonstrate a bright, welcoming personality while representing the hospital in various settings.
- Utilize strong communication and analytical skills to navigate the healthcare landscape successfully.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate digital marketing and website content management strategies as needed.
- Formulate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Business Development, healthcare, or marketing is beneficial.
- Strong initiative, motivation, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and website content management.
- Current Driver's License and willingness to travel between facilities.
- Good knowledge of the local area is advantageous.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
