The Hotel

The Mercure Portsea is located on the southern end of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. The hotel has 24 guest rooms, function facilities and is part of the Portsea Golf Club, a championship golf course.

About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time permanent Hotel Receptionist to join our small and friendly team. You will play a pivotal role as the friendly face and warm welcome that sets the tone for our guests' entire stay. This role is ideal for a hospitality/hotel professional or office administrator to join us in creating memorable experiences for our guests while gaining valuable accommodation industry experience.

• Customer focused, with superior customer service skills.
• Strong administrative skills, including computer proficiency.
• Ability to think quick and problem solve on the fly.
• Ability to conquer challenges, transforming dilemmas into success stories.
• Proficiency in accurately handling reservations and managing guest accounts and requests.
• Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including weekends, and public holidays.
• Liaising with other teams including food and beverage and housekeeping. 
• Previous experience in hotel reservations or front office is preferred.

The Roster

Flexibility to work across a rotating roster over 7 days including weekends and public holidays between the hours 8am and 6pm. The position requires weekend work with a salary range (full time) of approx. 65K.
