An exciting new opportunity is available for a House Leader within the Youth Residential program, across the metropolitan area. The House Leader will support our team to achieve goals that contribute to Outcare’ s service quality, client satisfaction and employee engagement.
The House Leader will supervise the day to day management and administration of services and activities in their homes, ensuring a superior experience is provided to program participants that meet their individual needs, goals and aspirations in a manner that reflects The Outcare Way; and contributes towards an increase in the overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities :
Actively engages with program participants fostering relationships that encourage participation, engagement and feedback, and assisting Outcare to provide a superior experience for residents that reflects best practice.
Provides regular updates on individual progress, particularly towards the achievement of goals.
Actively contributes to the development of Person-Centred Plans (PCPs) in their home by working collaboratively with the Person-Centred Planning (PCP) team, and reviews and evaluates service delivery against the target outcomes of individual PCPs
Participates in all reviews (in conjunction with the Team Leader), monitors all residential matters (including health and wellbeing), and discusses these with Outcare support teams and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Provides guidance, support and mentoring to Case Workers in their day-to-day activities in providing services to residents in the home, ensuring they follow each resident’s individual PCP; allocating tasks, providing feedback and monitoring performance to ensure performance targets are achieved.
Develops monthly reports for the Team Leader on issues pertaining to staff rosters, resident and house budgets.
Selection Criteria:
Experience in supervising teams in a service delivery environment, working with people with complex needs and external stakeholders.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including facilitation, negotiation, mediation, and advocacy; with experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Considerable organisational and analytical skills including experience in problem solving, time management, and managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines
Sound knowledge of the rights of people with disabilities; the concepts of social role valorisation, inclusion and quality of life.
A willingness to be available for On-Call for the Residential House.
You will ideally have:
Relevant qualification in Social Work, Mental Health, Community Services OR equivalent experience.

- Working with Children’s check
- Valid Western Australian Driver’s license
- The right to work in Australia
- A current 1st Aid Certificate
