Job description

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

  • Full time role - Monday to Friday
  • Based in Mercy Place Ballarat - Residential Aged Care
  • Primary Purpose/focus of the role - Provide oversight of the operations within households to support the everyday needs of residents in order to live healthy, enriching and meaningful lives under the small household living model
  • Lead, coach, and mentor our Care Companions in best practice outcomes.
  • To provide oversight and support the daily operations, financial and human resource management, maximising funding, and support strategic goals of the service through the small household model.
  • Act as the food safety supervisor for the facility

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current Certificate/Diploma qualifications in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervision.
  • Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in personal care or individual support in an aged care setting.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
  • High standard of verbal and written communication skills, and an understanding of health and safety as it relates to personal care work and food handling.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
  • Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
  • Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health’s policy (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement).
