Housing Manager

Locations: Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Parramatta, Penrith
Employment type: Temporary Full-time
Salary: $106,025 - $117,363 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Department of Communities and Justice directly supports approximately 800,000 people every year and reaches a further million people through local community-base programs.
The Housing Services branch is one of the largest providers of social housing in the world.
The Housing Manager oversees housing operations, focusing on access and tenancy management. This role involves leading a team to deliver housing programs locally, supporting clients at risk of homelessness or are experiencing homelessness.
What you'll do
You'll offer expert advice to staff and clients, provide coaching and support to direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and ensure a safe and productive environment. Your responsibilities include fostering beneficial relationships for Homes NSW clients both internally and externally.
This role is also responsible for delivering business outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards, duties include:
- Monitoring of service standards and manage Key Performance Indicators
- Provide expert and reliable, rapid advice on relevant operational policies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance with legislation and policy requirements and to support team performance and reporting.
- Assistance with complex service issues and policy interpretation
