We have an exciting new opening for an experienced HR Advisor to join our Head Office team.  This permanent full-time role is reporting to the HR Manager and will work as a conduit between our team members HR needs and our policies.  The HR Advisor will be an integral part of the People and Culture team and assist in providing consistent, practical, and strategic advice and coaching to stakeholders on people-related matters and industrial instruments.

What your day will look like:

• As HR Advisor you will work closely with our leaders, and the HR Team to create best practices as well as supportive and safe workplace practices.
• Managing the full breadth of employee relations matters, following internal process, relevant Fair Work principles, and operating with due consideration to associated risks.
• Provide consistent, practical, and strategic advice and coaching to stakeholders on people-related matters and industrial instruments.
• Building an open, communicative, and supportive culture across the business while working closely with team members to identify areas of improvement.
• Contribute to our culture by supporting with Engagement, Wellbeing and DEIB initiatives. 

What you will bring to this role:

• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail skills, to coordinate tasks and projects with a diverse portfolio.
• Have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Have 2 to 3 years’ experience in HR, preferably in a fast-paced or Retail environment.
• Demonstrate a confident and competent approach in managing complex employee relations matters.
• Strong demonstrated knowledge of the GRIA, SSWA and Clerks 2020 Awards and the Fair Work Act 2009 along with a proven ability to interpret relevant legislation. 
• Strong problem-solving skills within ambiguous and/or changing environments.
• Excellent communication and a professional approach when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
• Own a team-based attitude; willing to go outside of required duties to support the team to achieve objectives.
