About the Role
As the Human Resources BP you will be a true generalist with responsibility for providing strategic partnering with line managers across organisational culture development; talent acquisition and management; learning and development; ER and performance management; compensation and benefits administration; workers compensation; payroll administration; and HRIS reporting.
You will:
- Administer and develop HR policies and procedures to align HR strategy throughout the business
- Provide advise and coaching to assist managers with disciplinary actions and documentation.
- Develop workforce planning with the relevant line managers to meet the strategic direction of the business and ensure optimal use of labour hire.
- Manage recruitment and selection activity including advertising, screening and interviews through to pre-employment checks, contract preparation and onboarding.
- Conduct training needs assessments and work with line managers to determine training needs as well ensuring completion for compliance-related training programs.
- Remain abreast of changes in federal and state employment laws, rules, and regulations. Advise management of changes in such laws as necessary.
- Maintain employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current employment laws, rules, and regulations.
About You
You will be an experienced HR practioner with tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline and strong understanding of compliance and industrial relations. Your partnering and stakeholder management skills are exceptional and you have demonstrated the ability to interact with all levels of staff including working with a remote workforce.
Skills & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications (or currently undertaking) in Human Resources or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years generalist human resources experience in similar role, working with remote workforce in high growth environment an advantage.
- Knowledge in the rail and or construction fields an advantage.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, employee representatives, union officials, legal practitioners and other stakeholders.
