The Roles
There are two HR Business Partner roles available due to expansion of the HR team. Both roles can be offered on a full time or part time arrangement with flexible working options considered. These roles are part of a growing HR team, that is busy and dynamic- but that also takes time to have fun together too. Naval shipbuilding is a rewarding and interesting industry to be part of and experiencing great growth in Western Australia as part of the Australian Government's focus on defence and the defence industry.
- The HR Business Partner (Remuneration & Benefits; Global Mobility, HR Analytics, Projects) will provide specialist advice and support across all aspects of remuneration including undertaking the annual salary review process, undertaking ad-hoc role-based market reviews (experience with the AON / Radford McLagan databases will be well regarded), providing compensation advice to our Head of Department, overseeing the benefits program in Australia and contributing to reward initiatives that support the company. The successful applicant will also take on responsibility for completing the strategic and external reporting plus related HR analytics for the HR Department. This role will also manage our Global Mobility requirements for the Australian business.
- The HR Business Partner (Generalist) is a true generalist HR role providing HR support and leadership to both leaders and employees within WA based business units. 4 ships will be built in Henderson WA and this role will support the multinational team delivering these ships. This role will also support the HR Operations Lead in IR matters for the project. This role will support recruitment and training activities to meet the project & business requirements in relation to the attraction, engagement and retention of people.
- Pro-active, timely and value added provision of HR Business Partnering to Direct Leaders and employees aligned to business objectives. This may include remuneration and benefits, HR reporting, organisational design, performance management including coaching, mentoring, career advice and counselling, performance improvement plans and disciplinary matters; employee lifecycle activities within assigned departments and global mobility.
- Supporting the development and delivery of HR/training processes/initiatives including engagement & retention initiatives; HRIS, internal leadership programs and other related activities.
- Supporting the development of a strong workplace culture and managing change effectively within a rapidly growing business.
- Providing IR advice to the business, including Head of HR and managing union right of entry to site and guidance of union officials.
- Management and annual review of HR policies, procedures and processes
- Other HR initiatives such as Diversity & Inclusion initiatives & other HR projects.
