Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief People Officer; you will play a significant part in ensuring we have a capable, engaged, and productive workforce aligned with our strategic and operational goals. This position requires a candidate with a solid background in human resources, excellent interpersonal skills, and the mindset of 'hands on and team focused'.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement employee engagement programs to enhance morale and commitment.
- Support organisational change initiatives that align with Diabetes Australia mission and values, support employees adapt to changes while maintaining a focus on the organisations goals.
- Work collaboratively to deliver HR plans and activities that are aligned with the strategic agenda.
- Provide coaching and assistance to managers on HR policies, practices, plans, risks and/or issues, supporting them to make effective decisions about their workforces and workplaces.
- Utilise HR analytics to identify and escalate workforce risks, opportunities and contribute to an insight-driven and evidence-based HR approach.
- Provide regular reports on HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making.
- Coach managers to enable them to manage their people in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, practices and values.
- Implement and continue to improve the HR governance approach, processes, cadences; ensuring that projects, initiatives, services and capability comply with relevant legislation and Diabetes Australia policies and procedures and values.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Diabetes Australia policies and procedures, including diversity and safety and exhibit good practice.
- Advocate for ethical practices and corporate social responsibility.
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (Business, Human Resources) with considerable experience performing in an HRBP role
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task request
- Good working knowledge of HR and payroll systems, and an understanding of the application of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
