About the role
This position is a full-time role in the People and Culture team based at the Moruya Administration Office. Flexible work options are available, including part-time and job share.
In this role you will:
Provide high level advice and support to business across Council to provide sustainable Human Resource and workplace relation solutions.
Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of human resource policies and processes to deliver timely, compliant and consistent services that support Council operations.
Take a lead role in the delivery of workforce planning and strategic initiatives, culture and organisational change that contribute to building a collaborative culture aligned with Council values.
Lead the recruitment, payroll and human resource teams, including the management of the Human Resource Information System to enable and support workplace relations, human resource management and record keeping requirements.
Assist the Corporate Manager, People and Culture to develop and implement strategic human resource initiatives across Council.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $97,950.01 to $112,026.56 gross per annum consisting of:
$88,642.54 to $101,381.50 base salary
$9,307.47 to $10,645.06 superannuation (at 10.5%)
About you
You will be an experienced HR professional with experience in a diverse range of HR functions as well as strong team leadership capabilities. You will be a people-person who thrives in a busy work environment where priorities are regularly shifting, requiring you to be agile and flexible. The successful applicant will be empathetic and supportive and confidently guide staff to ensure the organisation is aligned and engaged to meet Council objectives and legislative requirements. You will possess a growth mindset, high energy and a drive to see initiatives through from planning to implementation.
You will be a team player with a can-do attitude and demonstrate the following:
tertiary qualifications in human resource management, industrial relations, psychology or equivalent and /or extensive experience in human resource management.
experience in general human resource practices
team leadership to effectively manage workloads and performance
ability to work collaboratively with managers on employee matters, coaching and influencing effectively
ability to provide advice on employment related legislation, applying discretion and confidentiality, and
project and change management skills with a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
