The Opportunity
Davki is a boutique-style Corporate Concierge and Security services provider. Our Head Office is conveniently situated in the centre of Southport, and our prestigious client sites are located across the SE Queensland region.
We are seeking a driven and talented Human Resources Officer to support our business. The role is full-time, 9am – 5pm weekdays and based at our Southport office alongside a diverse Head Office Team with a big personality and very strong values. You would be providing HR support for a business of 100+ employees.
As our next Human Resources Officer, you would be responsible for:
- Uniform and property inventory management, including ordering, distribution, record-keeping, and other related administration.
- Recruitment, including creating and posting advertisements, shortlisting, phone screening, compliance checking, interviewing, onboarding, and coordination of inductions.
- Creating Letters of Offer and all other types of employment-related documents, and managing employee files.
- User management for various tools and systems, including ZOHO, Breakthru, MYOB, Guardhouse, Campaign Monitor and Gurucan LMS.
- Managing all-staff communications on behalf of the Management and Operations teams.
- Owning the Davki Learning Management System, including content creation, uploading, delivery and assessment.
- Managing Workers Compensation claims and return to work processes.
- Maintaining photo and card registers and printing Security Identification cards.
- Overseeing WHS, CM3, ISO, Labour Hire licencing, and other compliance-related systems and processes, including maintaining records of such; act as the Head Office site Fire Warden.
- Provide advice and coaching to managers on people-related matters, including with respect to employment law, fair processes, and HR initiatives aligned to Davki’s overall business objectives.
- Maintain Davki policies, procedures and templates and undertake any other office-admin related tasks as required.
- Be able to perform the duties of the Payroll Officer in a back-up capacity.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
- A minimum of two years' experience working in a similar role, with a pragmatic approach to HR.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Fair Work Act (and other relevant law), the Security Services Industry Award, and HR best practice.
- A high-level of computer literacy; intermediate to advanced Microsoft skills and the ability to learn other systems where required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to build and maintain productive and positive working relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and strong negotiating skills with the ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of others.
- A clear commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- The ability to produce results day-to-day, as well as be able to think strategically and deliver long-term goals for the business.
- The desire to work in a close-knit team, contribute at all levels, and support each other to achieve success.
