As a HR Partner, you will provide business-focused, operational HR advice and services, interpret and apply HR policies and employment legislation, advise on risk management, and coach and support managers in people management, industrial relations and change processes.
The HR Partner will serve as a consultant to designated management teams on human resources-related issues.
This role is based in Fortitude Valley.
Your role in supporting Anglicare will include:
- Provide information to facilitate effective, empowering people management.
- In partnership with management, identify people implications of operational plans, address workforce gaps and respond to workforce matters at a service and service group level.
- Analyse trends and metrics for the respective service group and develop solutions and initiatives to improve workforce metrics.
- Provide advice on the interpretation of OD policies and procedures, employment legislation, managing change processes and provide HR risk analysis to support change activities.
- Provide industrial and employee relations advice and services to managers and teams.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including grievance management, WorkCover claims, return to work for injured employees, and terminations.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Conduct effective, fit-for-purpose and objective investigations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Support the development and execution of an ER program of work, such as EBA strategy, rationalisation, negotiation and renewal.
What you will bring to the role
- Significant practical experience in a HR Generalist or similar role.
- Advanced understanding of workplace relations, with particular expertise in employment law and dispute resolution.
- Experience in leading workforce change initiatives.
- Strategic thinker who is able to provide advice, develop options, analyse risks, solve problems and make sound judgements.
- Skilled and credible in advising others on empowering people management.
- Excellent time management including the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and influence people at all levels of the organisation, including coaching others to utilise initiative and offer solutions.
