Federal government department responsible in leading a global effort to preserve and protect one of the planet's most significant natural wonders located in Australia. Currently looking for an HR Specialist to join their busy team for a 6-months temporary assignment.
About the Role:
As HR Specialist, you will be delivering high level HR advice, service and support to internal customers and senior management. In addition, you will
Effectively engage with stakeholders in relation to complex issues, anticipating and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations to achieve the section’s and the Agency's outcomes.
Work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes.
Exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures
Provide of high-quality HR services and advice, which promotes consistency and best practice.
Support project management activities.
About you:
Previous experience in a similar HR role
Experience in one or more key functional areas within HR (e.g., Recruitment, Learning and Development, Payroll, Employee Relations, or Project Management)
Background in managing or supporting HR projects is a plus!
Experience in a HRIS and recruitment / onboarding platforms
Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent
Sound knowledge of contemporary human resource practices and systems.
Benefits:

6-months Temporary assignment
Full time hours Monday Friday.

$60 - $65 per hour + super
