Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. We're looking for a HSE Systems and Change Manager to join our Snowy 2.0 project team, overseeing the development, implementation, and enhancement of the project's Health, Safety, and Environment management systems with a safety differently approach. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead change initiatives, optimise processes, and ensure the project's compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Lead and facilitate change management processes related to HSE initiatives and improvements
Regularly review and update HSE policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Coaching, mentoring and practical implementation of Risk Management processes
Ensuring Safety Alerts and final investigation learnings Alerts are distributed efficiently
Ensure the project's compliance with all applicable HSE laws and regulations.
Provide leadership, coaching and education ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental objectives and deliverables are achieved.
We're looking for someone with:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (essential)
Proven experience in HSE management, change management, and process improvement.
In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, and standards.
ICAM lead investigation qualification and experience (essential)
Demonstrated experience in developing high performance work teams
Experience in HSE Management System review and implementation, including behavioural based conversations and initiatives and consultation processes
Risk Management expertise including experience with Bow Tie development and Major Hazards program implementation
