The Opportunity
HSEQ Manager will take accountability for all health, safety, environment and quality tasks, while continuing to develop a safety-focused culture in the workshop.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, implement, and update safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for health, safety, environment and compliance related tasks, systems, procedures and strategy.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external HSEQ audits as directed. (ISO, medical accreditation audits)
- Assist and support the development, coordination and delivery of training programs for the business unit.
- All administrative and reporting tasks related to the position.
- Coordinate HSEQ documentation to relevant personnel including safety plans, SOPS, risk registers, training registers etc.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses to understand the cause. Recommend realistic solutions and drive the execution of necessary changes.
- Champion a ‘safety-first’ culture and mindset but promoting best practice and conducting regular training and improvement sessions.

This position is ideal for a proactive Safety professional with experience in heavy manufacturing environments and a focus on process improvement. To be considered for this opportunity, the right person will have:
- Completion of Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety or similar.
- Minimum 2 years in a HSEQ related position, ideally in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders and all levels of the business.
- A strong passion for delivering safety and quality.
- Proactive and motivated attitude with a willingness to develop and learn new skills.
- Computer literacy skills and competent with MS Office. Previous experience with PRONTO would be highly advantageous.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Direct experience with conveyors and components, pulleys and idlers would be a distinct advantage.
